Daily care of commercial steam milk frothers is crucial for the equipment's lifespan, milk froth quality, and hygiene and safety.
Wipe the steam wand immediately: After each milk frothing session, wipe the outside of the steam nozzle with a clean, damp cloth and briefly release steam (2-3 seconds of empty spray) to remove any residual milk from the tube and prevent coagulation and blockage.
Clean the steam nozzle: If the nozzle is detachable, remove it after each day's business hours and soak it in a dedicated cleaning solution, then rinse it clean with a soft brush or water.
Clean the condensate tray and platform: Empty the condensate from the tray, wash with clean water or a neutral detergent, and dry.
Weekly Descaling: If using tap water, it is recommended to clean the heating tank and steam boiler weekly with a food-grade descaling agent to prevent scale from affecting heating efficiency or causing malfunctions.
Check the water level and temperature sensors: Regularly clean the scale in the tank to ensure the sensors are working properly and prevent false alarms or overheating.
